What we collect when you book a night out or run a venue on Nightlife, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
At a glance
- We collect what a booking needs: your name, email, phone if you give it, and the booking itself.
- Card numbers go straight to Stripe. We never store them.
- Your details are shared with the venue you book and with the providers that run the service. We never sell them.
- Texts and newsletters only come from venues that enable them, and you can opt out at any time.
- Essential cookies only. No advertising trackers.
- To access, correct or delete your data, email contact@since09.dev.
1.Who we are
Nightlife (operated by [Company legal name], "we", "us") runs a nightlife booking marketplace and a platform that venues use to manage their bookings and guests. This policy explains how we handle personal information on both.
When you book, the venue you book also receives your details and uses them under its own responsibility (and its own privacy notice, where it has one). For the data venues keep in their CRM on our platform, we process it on the venue's instructions.
2.Information we collect
When you book
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Booking details: venue, date, the table, ticket or guest list spot, party size, amounts paid, check-in status and any notes or messages you send the venue.
- Payment information is entered directly into Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we only see limited details such as the payment status, card brand and last four digits.
When you run a venue
- Account and team details: names, work emails, roles and login activity.
- Business details: venue information, listings, pricing, plan and billing history. Identity and bank details for payouts are collected by Stripe during onboarding.
Automatically
- Technical data needed to run and secure the service: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and error logs.
- Essential cookies only (see Cookies below).
3.How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Deliver your booking: confirm it, take payment, issue your pass, let the venue check you in and contact you about it (performance of a contract).
- Run and protect the service: security, fraud and abuse prevention, debugging and improving how it works (our legitimate interests).
- Send marketing, only where you agreed or where the law allows it, with an easy way to opt out (consent or legitimate interests).
- Meet legal obligations: tax and accounting records, responding to lawful requests (legal obligation).
The terms in brackets are the legal bases used under the GDPR for visitors from the European Union and the United Kingdom.
5.Service providers
These providers process personal information on our behalf or on a venue's:
| Provider | Purpose | When |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing, fraud prevention, venue payouts (Stripe Connect) | Every paid booking, every venue that accepts payments |
| Email delivery provider | Booking confirmations, passes, receipts and account emails | Every booking and account |
| Hosting and database providers | Running the service and storing its data | Always |
| Twilio | Text messages about your booking, two-way chat with the venue | Only if the venue enables SMS and you gave a phone number |
| Mailchimp | The venue's own newsletters and offers | Only if the venue connects it, and subject to your marketing choices |
6.Messages from venues
Venues decide whether to text you or add you to their newsletter, and they are responsible for having your permission when the law requires it. You stay in control:
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts from that venue.
- Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Or ask the venue, or us at contact@since09.dev, to remove you.
Booking confirmations and passes are transactional and still reach you after opting out.
8.How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: as long as needed for the booking, then for the period tax and accounting laws require (typically up to 7 years).
- Guest accounts: until you delete your account, then removed or anonymized.
- Venue CRM data: for as long as the venue keeps its account, or until the venue or you ask us to delete it.
- Technical logs: a short period, generally no more than 90 days.
9.Security
We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls limited by role, separation between venue organizations and regular backups. Card data is handled by Stripe, which is certified PCI DSS Level 1. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.
10.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- opt out of marketing, and of any sale or targeted advertising (we do neither);
- receive your data in a portable format.
US residents
These rights are designed to be friendly to the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), Florida law and other US state privacy laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
European Union and United Kingdom visitors
Under the GDPR you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
How to exercise them
Email contact@since09.dev from the address linked to your booking or account. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we answer within the time the law sets (generally 30 to 45 days). An authorized agent can make a request on your behalf with your written permission.
11.Age limits and children
Bookings on Nightlife are for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and the service is not directed at minors. If you believe a minor has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
12.International transfers
Nightlife is based in the United States and our providers may process data in the US or elsewhere. When data from the European Union or the United Kingdom is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The "Last updated" date shows the current version, and we will notify you of material changes on the site or by email. See also our Terms of Service.
14.Contact
For any privacy question or request, write to contact@since09.dev. Please mention the venue and booking reference if your question is about a specific booking.
